The national media is gleefully pointing to certain races across the country including the 6th Congressional District in Colorado race as evidence that Democrats Americans are fed up with Trump and are ready to vote out Republicans one year from now.
But as Westword points out, this could be a problem. Too many angry Democrats can spoil the pot.
… a bloody Democratic primary could very well be the x factor here.
In other words, get ready for another long, expensive battle in CO-6.
Incumbent Republican Mike Coffman has raised more than $1 million and has more than $700,000 cash on had.
Meanwhile, Democratic challenger Jason Crow has raised more than $500,000 and has more than $393,000 cash on hand.
Levi Tillemann has raised more than $150,000 and has $111,000 cash on hand, while David Aarestad has raised nearly $90,000 and has more than $15,000 cash on hand.
All three Democrats combined haven’t raised the money that Coffman supporters are putting into the race and they don’t have the cash on hand combined that Coffman has either.
So much for Democratic angst.
