Former Colorado Gov. Richard Lamm, he of “old people have a duty to die” fame, is now blundering his way into the bid for Amazon’s second headquarters with another bizarre statement.
Locating in Denver, he says would “leave us toothless and blind.”
High-paying jobs for 50,000 people and a $5 billion construction boom is the wrong kind of economic boom, he told a forum at the Denver Press Club.
So what is the politically correct kind of economic boom that Lamm would like to see?
None, apparently. The city is overpopulated and a burden on the infrastructure, he says. Lamm stopped short of telling Denverites they have a duty to move, or die.
