After months of gathering only a few dozen folks everywhere he went, U.S. Rep. Jared Polis is finally drawing a crowd in cities other than Boulder.
Wow! Standing room only & fantastic discussion in Lakewood! We need to protect our Colorado way of life by ensuring our public lands are not sold off to the highest bidder! I will always fight to #KeepCOWild. Sign up if you agree: https://t.co/2cYCxWRUiS #CaucusForJared pic.twitter.com/AYVQWYRR0y

There’s got to be at least 70 people at that event in Lakewood, where Polis has indeed drawn a standing-room only crowd.
But if you look closely at the picture, there doesn’t appear to be more than a dozen chairs in the room.
Great turnout for our office opening in Lakewood! Couldn’t make it? Tune in live ➡️ https://t.co/W8je4RAX9J pic.twitter.com/EfCAkpLMA7

Limiting seating to brag on standing-room only appears to be a growing theme in the Polis campaign.
Wow! Standing room only in #COSprings for our office opening. Thank you all so much! Glad I could skype in and chat while we continue to fight for CHIP and DREAMers here in DC! Sign up to join our campaign ➡️ https://t.co/krPwQjWgap #TeamJared pic.twitter.com/L2w3MWagH9

We can see how this would exceed his expectations. Polis may have high name recognition, but that doesn’t always translate into actual support in his campaign for the governor’s mansion.
