Republican Businessman Brian Watson is back on the ballot after a District Court judge yesterday compelled Secretary of State Wayne Williams to accept 120 signatures that originally did not match voter files in the Second Congressional District – the exact number Watson was short in the Democratic stronghold.

This means that the Republican State Treasurer’s primary is set – unless anybody has any other legal filings. Anybody? Maybe? No?

As of this morning, it will be a three-way race between Watson, and state Reps. Polly Lawrence and Justin Everett. Lawrence also petitioned on the ballot and Everett was the only candidate to make the ballot at the state Assembly.
