Scientists are now blaming climate change on our pets.
Our dogs and cats, our companions and fur babies, our protectors and babe magnets, our best friends.
Researchers at the University of Sydney in Australia say these bad dogs and cats insist on eating every day and consume animal products, which creates a considerable dietary footprint.
And it’s not pets across the globe causing the problem, they blame America’s 163 million dogs and cats for causing global warming.
There’s only one solution: no more pets. “Reducing the rate of dog and cat ownership, perhaps in favor of other pets that offer similar health and emotional benefits would considerably reduce these impacts,” the study concludes.
Let’s hope Jared Polis doesn’t find out about this, or the next thing you know, he’ll be demanding Coloradans surrender their best friends in order to save the planet.
Either that, or he will put a tax on their furry little heads.
