Digital First Media is laying off more than 100 employees at the service center in Colorado Springs that handles customer service and billing for numerous Colorado newspapers including the Denver Post and Boulder Camera.
If you find it frustrating to deal with delivers and subscriptions, just wait until those calls are handled by new overseas operators.
It already seems like those missed paper redeliveries are being flown into DIA from New Delhi by the time we get them.
It’s bad enough losing one’s jobs, and these folks will lose theirs beginning Dec. 28.
Bah and humbug.
The soon-to-be laid off workers also handle accounts for other Digital First Media newspapers in Broomfield, Burlington, Canon City, Fort Morgan, Lamar, Longmont, Loveland, and Sterling.
