A marijuana publication is having a hard time getting comment from pro marijuana members of Congress on Denver’s vote to decriminalize mushrooms.

At the risk of mixing up our drug metaphors, we’ll get straight to the point — no one wants to talk about Denver, including the city’s own congressional representative.

U.S. Rep. Diana DeGette’s office refused to respond to several requests from Marijuana Moment on how she even voted for the measure.

They also wanted to know what steps she will take to support her city’s vote on the federal level.

U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter says he doesn’t know enough about the issue to comment.

Well, he better learn, and fast.

As some have pointed out, law enforcement will need special training to deal with locals tripping their brains out who think the kaleidoscope of skull-faced monkeys living behind their eyeballs are trying to destroy them.

With the shrooms vote, plus the Denver City Council’s willingness to create injection sites for the legal use of heroin and other opioids, there appears to be growing support for the decriminalization of drugs in Denver.
