U.S. Sen. John Hickenlooper appeared on MSNBC to reveal the shocking outcome of a White House meeting between Democrats and a few “moderate” Republicans like Mitt Romney — they agreed in principle to hike taxes then blow the whole wad on stuff they will call infrastructure.
Infrastructure used to mean roads, bridges, ports, public works. But now it means Care Bears, rainbows and the Green New Deal.
Asked by host Lawrence O’Donnell if they came to an understanding on particulars with President Biden, Hickenlooper said there was definite agreement that a positive energy existed in the room.
As to specifics, they decided to spend a boatload of tax dollars and call it historic.
The bipartisan meeting contained a who’s who list of who the Hell is that?
On the left it was Hickenlooper, Sens. Angus King of Maine and Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire, Reps. Emanuel Cleaver of Missouri, Charlie Crist of Florida and Norma Torres of California.
In the middle were Romney, Sen. John Hoeven of North Dakota, Reps. Carlos Giménez of Florida and Kay Granger of Texas.
