Despite new CDC guidance telling vaccinated Americans to ditch masks, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi isn’t willing to give up her designer, matching facewear and is forcing everyone else on her side of the Capitol to stay masked as well.

The U.S. Senate ditched their mask mandate last week and so has the rest of government, but Pelosi refuses to follow the science.

A small rebellion this week saw several lawmakers in the House chambers sans masks, which prompted Pelosi to fine four members of Congress $500 for the first offense, $2,500 for the second.

Numerous other representatives were given warnings instead of fines including Colorado U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert.

It turns out that Pelosi has exempted herself from the mask mandate.

Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy introduced a resolution to lift the mask rules for those who are vaccinated — estimated at 75% of all House members — but it failed on a strict party line vote of 218 to 210.

Pelosi concedes she can’t force the remaining 25% to get vaxxed. It just looks like she’s going to force everyone to wear masks until they all come crawling back to her with their vaccine cards — including women trying to have children and those who may be allergic to the vaccine.

Meanwhile, Senate Democrats including Colorado’s Michael Bennet and John Hickenlooper haven’t lodged a single complaint about masks not being worn on their side of the Capitol complex.
