Expressing one’s condolences to the family and offering prayers when appropriate has been the universal response for centuries to the loss of their loved one.
For those who haven’t heard, Denver School Board Director Tay Anderson’s grandmother has died.
Today I said “see you later” to my hero, best friend, otherwise known as Grammy. It was painful to let her go, but comforting to know she’s in the kingdom of the Lord.

It’s very sad.
But Tay’s a modern guy so he’s not interested in sympathy on his private Facebook account.
This time.
He’s asking for cash, so he can celebrate Grandma’s life, on his birthday.
It’s all just so tacky.
Even we are at a loss for words.
