The New York Post editorial board is taking a fresh victory lap over their Hunter Biden laptop story after Politico released a new scoop confirming key aspects of the story earlier this week.
🧵THREAD🧵
I don’t know if folks remember how bad the smear campaign was about NY Post’s Hunter Biden laptop reporting was, so quick trip back down memory lane.
Beyond the full-court press from Twitter & Facebook, the media & Dems worked overtime to shut down the story. Look ⤵️

I mean, for crying out loud, @NPR went through the trouble of explaining why they weren’t going to report on the story!
Can we revisit that? pic.twitter.com/UPxdHskDsn

Even here in Colorado reporters weren’t immune from casting doubt on the Biden laptop story.
The Denver Post’s Conrad Swanson memorably accused Tucker Carlson of lying about documents pertaining to the story that were temporarily lost en route to his show.
Well, Tucker wasn’t lying. Are you going to apologize? #copolitics https://t.co/8y2ydimvgA

Not to be outdone, Kyle Clark tried to self-righteously shame KOA’s Mandy Connell for having the audacity to demand that journalists should actually do their jobs.
NEW: @KOAColorado’s @MandyConnell calls for journalists to be stripped of constitutional protections if they do not cover Hunter Biden allegations. #copolitics https://t.co/cHxU9CEi31

The New York Post’s victory lap is justified, and the failure of the mainstream media to do sufficient soul searching on what happened with Big Tech, the election, and the press’ own role in suppressing the Hunter laptop story is an outrageous dereliction of duty that will not be soon forgotten.
