A bill hailed by U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet and fellow Colorado Democrats as tantamount to protecting outdoor recreation and creating even more wilderness areas has died a sad death at the hands of a Democratic Congress led by a Democrat president.
It’s really pathetic that two former presidential candidates — Bennet and U.S. Sen. John Hickenlooper —plus U.S. Rep. Joe Neguse who never misses an opportunity to remind he’s part of House leadership, couldn’t push their signature piece of legislation over the finish line.
We wonder why that is?
@SenatorBennet & @Hickenlooper have failed, once again, on passing the one bill they have both touted for years.
Colorado has no clout in the Senate because @SenSchumer knows both @SenatorBennet & @Hickenlooper are Democrat lackeys who will vote for whatever he says. #copolitics https://t.co/wiUKsfDROZ

What’s the point of even having these men in office representing Colorado if they don’t know how to pass their own legislation?
More than a decade in Washington, and Bennet only has one law to show for it?
If these guys can’t get their bills passed by their own party, imagine what’s going to happen when Republicans take back control of Congress next year?
Hickenlooper will have more time to spend hanging out in bars, and Bennet will have more time to do even less than nothing.
Four days later: in a shocking turn of events this strongly worded tweet was not enough to keep the CORE Act in the NDAA and Michael Bennet still only has one bill signed into law after over a decade in Washington. https://t.co/ltjJ7GRr8b
