There’s something very odd about Gov. Polis’s video that was released across social media Tuesday announcing his reelection campaign — there’s not a single mention of the “C” word.
It’s as if the pandemic never even occurred during his watch.
Sure it’s implied when one woman talks about being out of a job, and suggested when Polis talks about the economic recovery.
For one split second, the C word is seen written on the wall in the background.
But no one dares mention COVID-19.
I’m Jared Polis. I’m Colorado’s Governor. And today I’m making it official — I’m running for re-election here in America’s greatest state.
This is an all-hands-on-deck movement to protect our progress & keep Colorado moving forward.

Then we noticed something else unusual about the video — hardly anyone is wearing a mask!
Roughly half of Polis’s entire term has been consumed by the pandemic. For nearly two years he governed from behind a mask, and called those who didn’t comply and wear masks “selfish bastards.”
But in this two minute video where he talks about all that time in office, barely a mask is seen.
We actually counted 56 images of people shown throughout the video, and in only 8 shots that account for about as many seconds, did we see some people wearing masks.
Is Polis embarrassed that he buckled under pressure, shuttered the economy, then lashed out at voters who questioned whether government officials had any clue what they were doing?
He should be.
It certainly explains that video.
