Sam Bankman-Fried, the crypto tycoon turned bankrupt villain, contributed nearly $40 million to Democrat causes before his downfall, including donations to Congresswoman-elect Brittany Pettersen and U.S. Sen. John Hickenlooper’s PAC.
Along with friends and family members, he donated $40,000 to Democrat candidates and political committees in Colorado this cycle, Colorado Public Radio reports.
The money spanned nearly all levels of government, from the Arapahoe County Democratic Party, to a state house candidate, to a PAC run by U.S. Sen. John Hickenlooper.
Now that the Colorado media has finally gotten around to reporting the donations, some Democrats are bragging they will donate their ill-gotten gains to charity — as if charity groups want to be complicit in robbing people of their life’s savings.
Hickenlooper’s Giddy Up PAC collected $3,000 from Bankman-Fried’s brother last year, and Pettersen benefited from a $2,900 donation.
Also feeding at the trough:
Sen. @MichaelBennet, Congresswoman @pettersen4co, and the @coloradodems are all refusing to comment on the campaign funds they took from a criminal. Very troubling. #copoliticshttps://t.co/vCQYh6OCDK

Rep Joe Neguse(D-CO), Congresswoman elect Brittany Pettesen(D-CO) and Sen Michael Bennet(D-CO) all tied to money from Sam Bankman-Fried and/or FTX money.
Are Democrats engaged in organized crime?
Coloradans deserve an independent investigation.#copolitics #coleg— Mr T 2 (@GovtsTheProblem) December 14, 2022
It’s interesting Bankman-Fried wasn’t arrested until this week right before he was scheduled to testify on Capitol Hill before a friendly audience of a Democrat-controlled committee.
Were regulators afraid Democrats would cut a deal with the alleged crook and grant him immunity in exchange for testifying against someone, anyone in the company with less ties to Democrat campaign funding than himself?
Thank God Republicans are taking back the House so we can finally get some legit investigations and answers as to how $40 million in campaign contributions was laundered through this company to Democrats while Democrats were in charge of the White House and Congress. Right?
