Instead of accommodating the extraordinary number of concerned parents at Denver Public Schools’ public comment hearing Monday on school safety, the board vice president told all the white people to leave.
The board’s sign-up page for public comment warns folks that parking is on a first come, first serve basis. Perhaps they should add that those wishing to comment should come early to get seating in the main room if the don’t want to sit in the overflow room.
But race hustling board member Auon’tai “Tay” Anderson is more interesting in driving a wedge between Latinos and white folk to take the heat off his sorry self, whom protestors of all colors outside the meeting were demanding to resign.
Actually, they want the whole school board to resign. You can sign their petition here.
It’s revealing that after a meeting focused on school safety and the board’s removal, and years later reinstatement of resource officers, the only thing Anderson had to say is that the event was attended by too many white people.
But wait, there’s more.
Anderson left the room while the Hispanic group he purported to defend was speaking.
Parents were happy to make space. His statement was not true at all. A parent in the room also stated that he left while the Hispanic families were speaking. I as a DPS parent, I as a white mother, have a Hispanic student. He has no idea who I represent by the way I look. pic.twitter.com/hq5VnytlNk

So Anderson’s tweet was just to cover his ass for not caring what the Hispanic families had to say?
And judging by the photos, there was enough seats for people of all colors in the main room.
The November election can’t come soon enough.
