The Republican-led House this week passed legislation to protect our gas stoves from the killing floor of President Biden’s ruthless climate police on a mostly party line vote of 249-181.
Only 29 Democrats broke ranks to side with Republicans, and one of them is from Colorado.
We’ll give you a hint; they represent a district economy that depends on the gas industry, and they’re one of the Democrats targeted for defeat by the National Republican Party in the 2024 election.
If you guessed Dianna DeGette, you’re dead wrong. DeGette and fellow Colorado Democrat U.S. Reps. Jason Crow, Joe Neguse and Brittany Pettersen are dedicated to telling Americans how they can cook their food, wash their dishes, clean their laundry, and take a shower.
It was freshman U.S. Rep. Yadira Caraveo from Colorado’s new 8th District who dared to cross party lines.
Do we believe Caraveo has had a sudden change of heart and fully embraces the oil and gas industry?
Ha!
We do not. It was a politically calculated vote to keep her job.
We suspect she will get a hall pass from her party’s radical environmental wing for voting against the climate change brand and the corporations that get rich off government regs that force us to buy new appliances and vehicles and such.
That’s how Democrats keep getting elected, hypocrisy.
