Colorado Democrats are determined to expand the state’s legalized recreational drug market to include Fentanyl, heroin, and methamphetamine through the creation of Orwellian-themed injection centers called “safe-use sites.”
The Denver Post reports that a state legislative committee decided this week to go ahead and start writing the bill for when lawmakers reconvene the new session in January.
Led by U.S. Rep. Brittany Pettersen when she was in the state House, Democrats have twice failed to legalize drug dens across select neighborhoods.
There is nothing safe at all about injecting oneself with heroin, Fentanyl, or meth and quickly becoming addicted to debilitating drugs that cripple the mind and other deadly consequences — whether it’s doing something stupid while stoned, catching contagious illnesses, respiratory depression and arrest, unconsciousness, coma, and death.
Taxpayer-funded experimental centers overseen by the government for the young and stupid junkies-in-training or the professional junkies living in nearby tents willing to wait in line for a fix, is not a solution.
It’s just a safer method of recruiting more junkies.
It’s time Democrats treat their own cognitive dissonance and open their eyes to the effects the state’s legalized recreational drug market and drug tourism is having on the state’s growing homeless population, crime, and mental illness.
Not to mention it’s killing kids who get the drugs in school and experiment on their own.
Kids and teens are not going to leave class and find an injection center to pop a pill unknowingly laced with deadly amounts of Fentanyl that was smuggled over Biden’s open border from his and Hunter’s friends in China.
Kill the bill, not our kids.
