Republican Congressional candidates in the contentious race for the 5th District seat representing the Colorado Springs area will face off in a debate June 3 beginning at 5:30 p.m. in Centennial Hall.

The event will be moderated by Alasyn Zimmerman and is sponsored by The Gazette, KOAA, and the El Pomar Foundation.

Candidates expected to attend are Jeff Crank, River Gassen, Joe Reagan, and state Republican Party Chairman Dave Williams.

PeakNation™ will recall that Williams has led state party leaders to break with tradition and pick their favorite GOP candidates to endorse before voters get a chance to make their intentions known in the primary race.

Williams has yet to announce whether he has endorsed himself for this congressional seat.

Both Williams and Crank participated in another debate recently that can be watched here by clicking on “Watch on YouTube.”

The June 3 debate will be livestreamed at gazette.com and koaa.com.
