U.S. Rep. Jason Crow seems very confused lately as to who his constituents are, campaigning in Delaware, Georgia, North Carolina, and with noncitizens in Aurora who can’t even vote in the U.S.

All are campaign stunts, including the political photo op Crow sat for in Aurora this week with Venezuelan nationals who are in the U.S. to work, but are claiming asylum.

It’s a stretch to call them constituents, unless one considers construction workers and other laborers who lodge at extended stay hotels for weeks or months to be constituents. And the summer workers and ski resort employees — never seen politicians courting those voters.

Crow explained to some of those residents at the now infamous apartment complexes how they are victims of racism, not crime, when Republicans express concerns about Tren De Aragua gang members assaulting their neighbors, breaking into apartments, and committing other crimes.

Don’t blame criminals, blame your landlords, Crow explained.

Crow’s post came just hours before NBC News reported the Homeland Security Department has identified more than 600 migrants connected to the TDA now living as migrants in 15 U.S. states.

The vast majority of those being victimized by TDA are fellow Venezuelan migrants, a Homeland Security official told NBC News.

“They prey first and foremost on Venezuelans,” the official said, noting that many of the recently arrived migrants had to pay TDA to come to the U.S.”

How intimidating it must have been for Venezuelan migrants seeking asylum to be suddenly granted an audience with a U.S. congressman who lectures them in presidential political terms about their living situation?

It’s a good thing the story about a pregnant woman living in the complex assaulted with boiling water hit the news today. We don’t expect to be seeing any residents reporting TDA activity or any crime for that matter any time soon after Crow’s little visit.
