Gov. Polis’s bid for the presidency in 2026 will most assuredly include the historically inaccurate narrative that he has a record of saving people money, especially when it comes to their health care costs.

After all, he created an entire government agency with the Orwellian name, Office of Saving People Money, which allegedly was supposed to help us save money on healthcare.

We’re not suggesting that any working Coloradan who claims to have saved money on health insurance and associated costs since Polis took office is a liar. But we are willing to bet they didn’t test well in math.

Polis also “saved people money” by padding Lt. Gov. Primavera’s salary an extra $600,000 of our tax dollars over her terms in office to also act as the head of this office saving us money.

And when faced with a $1 billion budget shortfall, the Democrat-controlled legislature balked at cutting just one year of padding her salary.

Not how you save people money in Colorado.
