Former Republican Rep. Ken Summers is in critical condition in a hospital in Loveland due to encephalitis.
Summers ran in 2012 for Colorado State Senate, but lost to fellow State Rep. Andy Kerr, a Democrat.
Not only was Summers respected within the State House during his tenure, but he’s been an active member of his community from his role as a pastor to the boards on which he participated, such as the Governor’s Interagency Council for Homelessness, Teen Challenge of the Rocky Mountains, and others.
House Minority Leader Brian DelGrosso issued this statement about Ken Summers:
“We are all praying for Ken and his family, and we are keeping him in our hearts and minds. Ken was an excellent legislator and has never stopped serving his community. As a pastor and through his work at Teen Challenge of the Rocky Mountains, he has touched the lives of countless individuals.“We send him and his family our love and prayers for a speedy recovery.”
Please help us wish Ken Summers a speedy recovery from his illness and keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.
