We, too, had trouble paying attention in class, but it was really our own education that we were squandering, not Coloradans’ tax dollars. (Please excuse the poor grammar.) During the contentious debate over HB1164 (the bill meant to fix exacerbate the horrible election modernization fraud enabling bill from last session), we assumed that all legislators would be fully engaged. Because it’s important. We assumed wrong.
In the grand spirit of sorta-recalled Democratic state Senator Evie Hudak, Sen. Aguilar thought reading the newspaper was far more important than listening to the debate. H/T to Ken Clark for catching it.

What does she care? The vote was already decided. The session was just for show.
To be fair, Ken Clark's tweet doesn't tell the whole story. Was it an article about Patrick Swayze that Senator Aguilar was reading?
