State Senator Jeanne Nicholson
Developing and honing a message is an important part of every campaign. Doing it effectively often means the difference between winning and losing, or, in some cases, being memorialized in Saturday Night Live skits forever.
Some candidates never quite figure it out, like Christine “I’m not a witch” O’Donnell or, more recently, State Senator Jeanne Nicholson (D-Black Hawk). Apparently, she is running on Ebola now. Seriously. In her latest campaign e-blast Nicholson writes:
“There is a non-government solution to almost everything but in and of itself, it is not the best solution. From the Great Influenza Pandemic of 1918-1919 to the Ebola virus of today, only a coordinated government effort can stem a massive outbreak.”
Frankly, it is refreshing to see a Democrat who isn’t beating the “war on women” drum. However, Nicholson is so grossly off message we’re not really even sure which segment of the voting population she is trying to target with her Ebola platform. The paranoid hypochondriacs perhaps?
