If there was any doubt that the union and the Jeffco PTA are encouraging a toxic conversation in Jeffco, look no further than the head of the Jeffco PTA President, Angela Geier, who was elected earlier this spring:

The backstory behind this photo is that Geier was filmed by Pete Boddie, who was at a May 1, 2014 school board meeting at Bear Creek High school. At this meeting, charter school parents asked the board to provide fair and equivalent funding to their students. This was a board meeting at which the union overwhelmed attendance, and when charter parents, spoke the union audience was rude and obnoxious as seen in this video. It’s in this video that Geier flips off the videographer twice.
Despite this grossly inappropriate behavior, Geier was elected PTA president last spring and has been a union ally in the recall effort. Whether one agrees or disagrees with the actions of a school board, it’s never appropriate for the future head of the school district’s PTA to use such profane gestures in a public setting. But, that’s what you get in Jeffco. Voters will have to decide in November whether they side with the lies spewed by a woman so out of control that she has to resort to inappropriate gestures to convey her displeasure. We suspect most voters, if they knew how grotesque the union and PTA’s actions have been, would be incredibly dismayed.

I live in FL, and have no personal interest in what goes on out in "Jeffco" but I must say this: After reading the article on American Thinker and following a couple links I got to Mr Boddies' clip of a small portion of that meeting and what comes through is this: The teacher's unions out there are just as useless as the ones everywhere else. And the libtards who support them (like you) are just as ignorant and incapable of critical thought as libtards everyelse. You go right to a Nazi analogy for your political opponents (how original). Peter Boddie, Thank you! You are the first person I have seen say when a board supporter has crossed a line.
"What lies get told by people on the left", that is a pretty general statement. Since, I have sent many emails to the board asking for clarification or an retraction on lies that have been told. I will give Mr. Newkirk credit since he did admit that the current board had nothing to do with SSB. I am still waiting for Ms. Williams to appologize to the students and staff of SGE, MMS and SLHS for the lies she has repeatly told very publically. While you see this as lies, I see it as 1/3 of the story. It is the side seen by these ladies, you have your 1/3 of the story and someone that is completley uninvolved would have the truth of the story. While you might not see yourself as being aggressive. I can say I would not be comfortable with someone focusing on me with a camera. As I was very concerned about the ladies sitting in a high school parking lot filming students. I have students in Jeffco, as a mother. I have way more concern with someone filming my child than him seeing someone flipping the bird.

i was focussing on the bad behavior. I turned my camera mostly on the folks in one section because from where I was sitting down next to the podium that was the only area I could easily turn to without sticking my cell phone camera right in the faces of the people sitting directly behind me or to my right. Simple logistics. Now, after I got flipped off, I have to admit I may have kept my camera on that person a little longer. The intimidation was from the union supporters against people speaking with whom they disagreed. I was there to record that, because, having attended several previous board meetings, I was disgusted by that behavior. It got a little better after I first posted my video. Mission accomplished. It would seem that we differ on educational philosophy, and probably politically as well… not absolutely sure since I really don't know you, but it seems that way, based on your response. So the situation being what it is, I think it appropriate to thank you for taking the time to represent the 'other side', if you will.
Now you didn't ask, but I think that I would be remiss if I didn't say that I don't think that I would use name calling, or, as in this case, obscene gestures, toward someone of a differing viewpoint or someone gathering information in the public domain. It is absolutely not appropriate to exhibit this type of behavior in the public spotlight. And, I'm personally not judging her in this blog or you either for that matter, as a person. I'm just asking questions for the public to ponder.

I attended that meeting, it was at Bear Creek High School. I'm a community member with no connection with Jeffco schools. I went because I was concerned about the negative comments I had been hearing about WNW so I wanted to see for myself. I sat in the last row of the front middle section. I could see a lot of the activity in the lower area of the seats below me. There was a guy with a camera who kept focusing on certain people in the section to my left. I didn't know who these people were or why they were so important to him. He seemed to have an agenda though. I remember thinking, "what will I do if he does the same thing to us" but we weren't on his radar. I know I would have felt very upset and distracted if someone focused a camera in my direction for most of a public meeting. While I would not have responded they way they did I definitely do not blame them for their response.
Actually I wouldn't have. Don't presume to know what I would and wouldn't do. It's a classless display and if a board supporter was caught doing it I would say the same thing. Unlike union minions who only see one side of things.

I take this to mean that you have never flipped the bird. I have. Does this make me less of a person? Am I not able to serve on a PTA? According to you, yes. Go ask Ms. Williams, if her school was better with me advocating for her children. Flipping the bird, shows you are passionate and have emotions. And reading the comments pretty much negates the entire article. Either you take the high road or not. Calling someone names for weight or hair color is not the high road. Being a mom of teens, I let them show emotions and get passionate. I do not allow them to be unkind.
The person they are giving the finger to was following people around videotaping and intimidating them. This person was also out in the parking lot videotaping people's license plates. Due this harassment, this person was given the middle finger, which I thought was pretty nice. How would you respond if someone was stalking you with a video camera. My apologies for presenting facts.
