Colorado’s congressional Democrats were mostly mum on our military’s daring nighttime Syrian raid in which ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi blew his own evil ass to smithereens to avoid capture by U.S. Forces.
Perhaps it was the glitch in the Democrat’s main messaging coordinator, also known as the Washington Post, which left them confused about what to say?
The Post changed it’s headline three times on their story Sunday, at first referring to al-Baghdadi as the “Islamic State’s terrorist-in-chief.”
Then they did this:
The Post finally settled on “extremist leader of Islamic State.”
Meanwhile, U.S. Rep. Diana DeGette’s only tweet Sunday was this message for her Hindu constituents:
Wishing a happy #Diwali to all those who are celebrating this joyous festival of lights! pic.twitter.com/4XY7DVk3bo

Never one to take chances, U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter also took the safe route issuing a congratulatory message to Big Education:
Congratulations! Thank you for everything you do for Westminster Public Schools, our students and our community. Keep up the good work! #GoodNewsReport #TisAPrivilege https://t.co/dANWFnLCVC

Freshman U.S. Rep. Joe Neguse didn’t want to chance it either, so he went with a retweet of someone else thanking our military:
Thank you to the brave men and women who put their lives on the line for this operation. America and the world are safer today because of their actions.

Fellow freshman U.S. Rep. Jason Crow felt confident enough as a military veteran to strike out on his own and credit the military for the biggest terrorist take-down since Osama bin Laden:
The death of ISIS leader al-Baghdadi is a testament to the courage and training of American special operations and intelligence personnel. America will respond to terrorism and threats around the world, and the fight against ISIS must continue.

U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet wasn’t as confused and at least managed to squeak out a somewhat grateful message to the guys and gals.
After all, he gets his talking points from his brother’s newspaper, the New York Times, which headlined it’s obituary, “ISIS Leader Known for His Brutality, is Dead at 48.”
Grateful to the men and women of our military and intelligence community for their commitment, persistence, and skill. While this isn’t the end of our efforts, this marks a significant milestone in our fight against ISIS. https://t.co/etSlXjASVF
