Biden has also called for a gun ban, but neglected to explain why he never called on Democrats to pass a ban when they controlled Congress.
Meanwhile, Democrats in the Colorado State Senate on Tuesday passed the bill requiring a three-day waiting period to purchase a gun.
“It is the General Assembly’s responsibility to provide meaningful solutions to address our state’s ongoing crime and mental health crisis,” said state Sen. Larry Liston. “This bill fails to do that and could prove fatal for those who are fearing for their lives and exercising their legal rights to pursue self-defense.
If signed into law by Polis, critics say the measure would block domestic violence victims from accessing emergency protection.
The state House also passed gun bills in the wake of last week’s shooting at Denver’s East High School by a 17-year-old to raise the purchase age from 18 to 21, and legislation making it easier for trial lawyers to sue gunmakers — none of which would have had any impact on the tragedies in Denver, or Nashville.
If politicians would only stop pointing fingers at each other long enough to protect our children against these terroristic, suicidal, violent attacks on our schools— like they managed to do for air travel — then campuses will no longer be soft targets for the ill of mind.
Why is that so much to ask?
