Buck defends Rashida Tlaib against censure for anti-Israel comments

Colorado U.S. Rep. Ken Buck has locked up his street cred to be an MSNBC or CNN political commentator after his passionate defense of a Democrat congresswoman on the House floor who called for the destruction of the state of Israel.

Buck claimed congresspeople sometimes just say the darndest things, and anti-semitic remarks lauding terrorist attacks shouldn’t be held against them. Or something like that.

Buck was one of only six Republicans who sided with Democrats to table a resolution Tuesday censuring Democrat U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib of Michigan.

Buck also voted against the censure resolution, which passed on a bipartisan vote with 20 Democrats siding with Republicans.

PeakNation™ will recall, with a sigh of relief, that Buck announced last week he will not seek reelection because he’s mad at the Republican Party.

It’s been rumored Buck wants to be a political commentator on either CNN or MSNBC, whichever one will have him, we presume.

The six Republicans who bucked their party and voted to kill the measure were: Reps. Ken Buck (R-Colo.), John Duarte (R-Calif.), Mike Garcia (R-Calif.), Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), Tom McClintock (R-Calif.) and Ryan Zinke (R-Mont.).

McClintock wrote in a post on X, formerly Twitter, that censure should only be used for serious purposes, not to punish speech.
