Big round of applause to Aurora Council members for opting out of the state’s new “sensitive spaces” law that blocks our 2nd Amendment right to carry firearms near certain locations that politicians deemed as sensitive.

Like any government building, or within 100 feet of passing a ballot drop box or inside a building where voting is occurring, as well as school grounds.

The measure was unanimously approved on Monday by council members who were present, reports the Denver Gazette.

“I don’t think it’s the purview of the state legislature to decide how we should manage the safety and security of our building, that’s up to us,” Councilmember Curtis Gardner said in a previous council meeting. “It’s not any of their business how we manage our building.”

PeakNation™ knows that evil doers bent on deadly endeavors have no qualms about carrying a concealed weapon into any of those locations in which they plan to commit mass murder.

Restrictions on the 2nd Amendment never stops a crime, but it can prevent a responsible gun owner from protecting potential victims and stopping a shooter.

Democrats have gotten more aggressive over the decades in attacking our constitutional rights, which once restricted, would lead to the very authoritarianism our government was designed to repress and they claim to despise.

So, big round of applause for standing up for the rights of Aurora residents.
