Having completed his Comic Con duties in Colorado, Gov. Polis is now at the Democrat National Convention where he is being celebrated as the newest member of the progressive brat pack whilst flacking for Kamala.
He made the obligatory appearance on MSNBC to hype the Democrat Party and the ascension of their unelected nominee to protect that kind of “democracy.”
Since no one else is bothering to fact check the crazy claims being spewed from this side of the political aisle, Peak is taking up the challenge.
Polis unleashed a whopper right off the bat with this claim:
“Look, the country had eight strong years under Barack Obama, and I think Joe Biden was a great transitional president.”
The month after Obama was elected, the U.S. began its descent into the Great Recession, which was the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression, and lasted for years.
Nearly nine million jobs were lost, the housing market crashed, and households lost $20 trillion in net worth. The newspaper industry also collapsed and never recovered, so shame on the media for forgetting the Great Recession.
Also, Biden sucked as a so-called “transitional president,” unless Polis meant he transitioned the U.S. economy from a recession to inflation.
Also within the first 30 seconds, Polis said this:
“Look the country doesn’t want to move backwards to the divided partisan politics of the past.”
Fact Check: Watch the convention for three minutes and tell us that’s not partisanship at its worst.
Also, Polis called Donald Trump an existential threat. Vlad Putin has nuclear weapons pointed at us. That is an existential threat.
Bearing the blame for the Jan. 6 protest does not make one an existential threat. If candidates are to be judged by violent protests waged by their voter base, Democrat convention-goers should look out their windows.
Polis: “Of course, Democrats stand for border security.”
Technically, he’s correct. Wait, hear us out …
Tens of millions of human beings have illegally crossed the U.S. Border under Democrats’ watch with Biden setting the record.
However, just as Democrats succeeded in changing the definition of men and women, they are now plotting to reimagine the phrase “border security” to mean the controlled entry of non-citizens who claim citizenship, and then stay forever after their claims are rejected.
Still, we give Polis’s interview a rating of total BS.
