Western Slope and southern Colorado voters should check out the final debate in Pueblo tonight (Monday) between 3rd District congressional candidates Jeff Hurd and Adam Frisch who are vying to fill the seat held by Lauren Boebert.

The show start at 6:30 p.m. and is free to attend at the Pueblo Community College’s Hoag Theater.

The debate can also be viewed live on Xfinity Channel 19 and live streamed on the Pueblo Chamber of Commerce Facebook page and website.

The debate is sponsored by the Chamber and Colorado Politics, with reporter Ernest Luning and Chamber president Sara Blackurst acting as moderators.

From Colorado Politics:

While it’s a Republican-leaning district — its voters supported Donald Trump by a roughly 8 percentage point margin in 2020 — the 3rd CD is considered one of the more competitive seats in the state this year, chiefly due to Frisch’s surprise finish two years ago.

Confounding the forecasters, who nearly all predicted Boebert would cruise to reelection in 2022, Frisch, a wealthy former Aspen City Council member, came within fewer than 600 votes of unseating the incumbent the country’s closest congressional race that cycle.

Yet even with the financial backing of millions in campaign donations from his Aspen buddies this time around, Frisch appeared defensive and a little panicky during the recent Club 20 debate, while Hurd remained steadfast.

Boebert won’t be there to add some firecrackers to the show tonight, but it turns out Frisch is mostly all theatrics as well, yet with less substance.
