In Colorado Springs today they held elections for their first strong Mayor, along with the City Council and two ballot issues.

According to the Gazette these results reflect about 80% of ballots turned in. Turnout was around 50%.

Richard Skorman was pretty much the man to beat, the question was who was going to face him in the run-off. Congrats to Steve Bach for surviving the smear campaign and making it in.
The big surprise is Lisa Czelatdko in Council District 3 defeating the miserable Michael (Circles of Hell) Merrifield. (Now we just have to learn how to pronounce her name!)
