The press really wants to say that Barack Obama is moving to the middle, to which we say: get real.
Obama's strategery for the budget gauntlet that lies ahead seems to be emerging, and it is anything but Clintonian: talk a good game about cutting deficits, concede to real cuts and real reform as little as possible, assassinate the character of the opposition (i.e. Paul Ryan), and preserve as much of the socialist agenda he has enacted over the last three years as possible without costing himself the election.

Perhaps the most news-worthy part of this story is that the quotes came from Obama talking to a group of donors not realizing his comments were still being broadcast to the press.
Is it us or is Obama one smarmy, cocksure Mother when he is talking to donors in what he thinks is an off-the-record setting? The more Americans get to see of this off-the-record, religion-and-gun-clinging fulsome fraud, the lower his poll numbers will fall.
