Today, President Barack Obama returns to Denver, Colorado, the scene of the stage where a young, eloquent and optimistic U.S. Senator from the Land of Lincoln accepted a nomination to be the leader of this great nation.
Today, more than three years since his grand address to a packed Mile High Stadium and enormous world-wide television audience, Obama as President has been discredited, his policies rejected, his re-election chances diminished by record deficits and persistent high unemployment.
We take the occasion of the President's visit to welcome him. We look forward to his return many more times, and the debate it will spark.
