After the massive defeat of the liberal pet project Prop 103, Rep. Sal Pace (D-Urination) trotted out another electoral loser to beg for campaign cash in an email today. Despite refusing to back Prop 103, and watching it go down in a big way in his liberal home county of Pueblo, Pace had former Congressman John Salazar beg his campaign email list for a $20 donation for Pace's 3rd Congressional district campaign.

After refusing to back a $3 Billion tax increase beloved by his base, you have to wonder if there are worse days to ask for spare change. Not only did Pace not back the ballot measure, but he was busy blasting out emails trashing the idea of tax increases and even advocating for a tax cut in the waning days of the campaign.

If Pace thinks he can go from tax hike saboteur to cash king of the left wing, he is probably sorely mistaken. Unless liberals like their leaders publicly pissing on their favored measures, most email recipients will probably delete the email and hope Pace gains a better sense of timing.

Or maybe they just hope that Pace gets control of his bladder, both physically and metaphorically speaking.
