On Monday, we reported on a slew of signs popping up across the state that read "Obama Let Us Down." We asked our readers to send in pics if they came across any other ones. Ask and ye shall receive, and receive we did.
Readers sent in these two pics: the one on the left is in Greenwood Village and the one on the right was seen in Brighton.
Email us at tips (at) coloradopeakpolitics.com if you come across any others.
Do any of you believe this for a second?
Yes I do. I believe it for every hour of every day.
If it’s the latter, congratulations. Be proud of yourself. If it’s the former, you DO realize that someone who never liked Obama can’t have been “let down” by him, don’t you? That’s what the sign says. Now then…
Do you believe that these signs really are “popping up everywhere,” and that “readers” of CPP are “sending in pictures” of them? Because I don’t.
If you don’t either, what do you think this says about CPP?
that absolutely no one on the left are upset with the President, and even if they were, there is no way they would display that in public? Because anyone reading Firedoglake, Democratic Underground, and Colorado Pols, just to name a few left wing sites would disagree with you. And if you have a problem with a political site being political, what are you still doing hanging around Colorado Pols?
then don’t bother.
This isn’t about satisfaction or dissatisfaction with the president. (It’s as sure as death and taxes that he’s going to be re-elected – what place does his approval have when this is so certain?) No, this is about whether these signs are genuine. Whether people are “spontaneously” erecting them in their front yards, and whether CPP “readers” are “emailing” them to CPP. I say they are not. They are a creation of a bad blog desperate to generate controversy and the web traffic that comes with it.
Do you believe I’m wrong? Tell me why. You’re better than just bringing up irrelevant crap.
