Sit up at your desks and pay attention liberals…Governor John Hickenlooper wants to turn Colorado into Texas…at least, when it comes to our state’s business environment.

Reports The (Austin) Statesman:

Republican Gov. Rick Perry of Texas and Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, a Democrat, set aside some of their political differences Friday to address more than 160 Denver business leaders meeting in downtown Austin…

The Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce visits a city each year in search of economic and cultural development ideas to bring back to Colorado.

At Friday’s breakfast at the W Austin Hotel, Hickenlooper pronounced Austin a “wonderful city” and recounted a late night of sampling Antone’s and other clubs to study the city’s claim to be the Live Music Capital of the World.

“We’re going to steal every idea that we can, and I certainly agree with you in terms of the importance about a predictable, pro-business environment,” Hickenlooper told Perry during a question-and-answer session.

But, Hickenlooper said, Colorado will be “relentlessly pro-business” in ways that seek to balance priorities.

All we can say to that is, yee haw!
