At the Colorado Republican Re-Organization meeting on Saturday, Ryan Call was re-elected as Chairman of the Colorado Republican Party, defeating businessman and former Douglas County GOP Chair Mark Baisley.  The final vote tally for the election was Call with 272⅓ votes and Baisley at 158⅔ votes.  Call issued a statement of sorts on his Facebook page following his win:

Many thanks to the members of the Colorado Republican Party who have done me the great honor of allowing me to continue in service as your State Chairman. For those that supported me, I am profoundly grateful.

For those that may have expressed their reservations, the words of our first Republican President, Abraham Lincoln, are most fitting: “We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained, it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic chords of memory, stretching from every battle-field and patriot grave to every living heart and hearthstone all over this broad land, will yet swell the chorus of the Union when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature.”

Call will serve in his role through the 2014 election, which will include tough campaigns against Democrats Sen. Mark Udall and Gov. John Hickenlooper.  Vice-Chairman Don Ytterberg also was re-elected, defeating R Block Party founder Lori Horn.
