What will Cliff Willmeng, Boulder County Fractivist, do with his free time?

It’s been a bad few weeks for fractivists.  First, the Colorado Department of Public Health and the Environment called BS on fractivists’ bogus study, and then, the State Department reported last week there were no environmental issues with the proposed $7 billion Keystone Pipeline.  Now, Democrat and former Secretary of the Interior, Ken Salazar, told the North American Prospect Expo that fracking is a-ok with him:

“From my opinion and from what I’ve seen … I believe hydraulic fracking is, in fact, safe…. We know that, from everything we’ve seen, there’s not a single case where hydraulic fracking has created an environmental problem for anyone.  We need to make sure that story is told.”

The North American Prospect Expo is a three-day conference at which landowners from around the globe gather to make deals with oil, gas and pipeline companies. Salazar also stomped on the hearts of environmentalists with his proclamation that the United States should build the Keystone Pipeline, as reported by FuelFix.com:

“At the end of the day, we are going to be consuming that oil.  So is it better for us to get the oil from our good neighbor from the north, or to be bringing it from some place in the Middle East?”

Of course, there were strings attached, according to the AP :

Salazar said at an energy conference in Houston Wednesday that the pipeline could be built safely, as long as conditions are imposed. Those conditions would require the pipeline operator to meet tough environmental standards and even pay for conservation programs along the pipeline route.

Coming from a former Obama administration hack?  We’ll take what we can get.  The only question left – what will fractivists do with their free time?
