Tonight, liberal Sen. Mark Udall will take to the Senate floor to finally stand up for something.  Unfortunately, it’s not the mess he made with his Obamacare vote.  It’s climate change.  [Cue 335,000 exasperated sighs from Coloradans who have lost their health insurance plans thanks to Udall.]

Immediately following tonight’s votes, Senators from the Senate Climate Action Task Force will rail against climate change until the next morning.  No, this isn’t a one man filibuster-ish thing like Texas Sen. Ted Cruz’s long-haul.  This is a series of subbing in from one Senator to the next, so it’s actually not terribly impressive.  And, we doubt there will be any Dr. Seuss books read.

While Udall wasn’t quoted in the press release, his Democratic colleague Sen. Brian Schatz from Hawaii was:

“Climate change is real, it is caused by humans, and it is solvable.  Congress must act. On Monday night we’re going to show the growing number of Senators who are committed to working together to confront climate change.”

Viewers at home can follow this political stunt via the hashtag #Up4Climate.

Regardless of how one feels about global warming, wouldn’t it be nice if the Senate would show the growing number of Senators who are committed to working to fix Obamacare via political stunt, instead?  Remember Udall’s priorities, PeakNation™.
