BREAKING: Denver Still in the Running for 2016 RNC

Posted on May 22, 2014 by ColoradoPeakPolitics

Denver has advanced to the next round of cities that are being considered for the 2016 Republican National Convention.  While we’re excited by this news, it has left us wondering how many rounds we still have to go through?  There were 16 cities to start, and it has now been whittled down to four.  The process kind of feels like a less fun version of March Madness.

Denver 2016 Chairman Pete Coors had this to say:

“With our gorgeous views of the Rocky Mountains and welcoming Western attitude, we believe there is no city better equipped or more excited to the host the Republican National Convention.  Our broad coalition of business, civic and political leaders have worked hard to show the Site Selection Committee why Denver is the perfect choice for the 2016 Republican National Convention, and we look forward to continuing this effort as we advance in this exciting new phase.”

Denver, along with Cleveland, Dallas and Kansas City will receive official site visits from the RNC’s 2016 site selection delegation in early June.

    Please, no.
What can we do to stop this insanity and waste of money?
