“We’re still relevant!”

How bad was the 2014 election cycle for Colorado Democrats?  So bad that liberal Colorado operatives are trying to say that the wave that swept the country stopped here again.  AKA, this is the answer they are inventing for when their liberal sugar-mommas and sugar-daddies ask them what the hell they are getting paid for.

Gees, if only there was some kind of metric we could use to judge the veracity of their statement… Oh, hey, look at that, we just had an election, that would probably be a good way to judge the job a political operative did.

At the beginning of the 2014 election cycle, here were Colorado liberals goals:

  • Reelect Mr. Blue Steel himself, Mark Udall
  • Reelect “Can we all get along?” Rodney King John Hickenlooer
  • Laugh in glee as Andrew Romanoff steamrolls Mike Coffman
  • Replace the Honey Badger with a Democrat
  • Finally take-over the AG office as John Suthers is term-limited
  • Have Betsey Markey cut off any Gubernatorial aspirations Stapleton may have by defeating him now
  • Hold on to the state Senate

Here’s what they achieved in the 2014 elections:

  • Reelect Mr. Blue Steel himself, Mark Udall
  • Reelect “Can we all get along?” Rodney King John Hickenlooer
  • Laugh in glee as Andrew Romanoff steamrolls Mike Coffman
  • Replace the Honey Badger with a Democrat
  • Finally take-over the AG office as Jon Suthers is term-limited
  • Have Betsey Markey cut off any Gubernatorial aspirations Stapleton may have by defeating him now
  • Hold on to the State Senate

Forget about win bonuses, they’ll be lucky just to be employed next week.

It was so bad for Colorado Democrats, the liberal operatives are trying to take credit for keeping the Colorado House.  But, Democrats had a nine-seat advantage going into the election, and no one thought the House had any chance of flipping.  Now, a best-case scenario, they hang on to it by the skin of their teeth.  So, we guess, congratulations for holding on to something that never should have been in play to begin with… ?

On second thought PeakNation™, these are exactly the kind of liberal political operatives we want to be in charge of Colorado Democrat campaigns for a long time.  So, add our voice to their chorus when we say to their liberal overlords, “PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, DON’T FIRE THEM!”

They just need to pop a couple of little blue pills to get their mojo back.
