It was sad enough that science fiction cult hero Leonard Nemoy passed away today, even ghastlier that we had to learn about it from U.S. Rep. Jared Polis’s Twitter feed.

Nothing like the passing of an actor loved by millions to use the opportunity to plug your family’s business that made you a millionaire.
We loved Nemoy, too, but it wasn’t for his poetry book published in 1983. It was because he was Spock. And that’s Dr. Spock to you, Jared.

Better not let the Speaker catch you breaking the House rules of decorum, again, by taking photographs in the chamber. That is strictly prohibited in both the House and Senate.
Mister Spock. Mister is the honorific for an officer below Captain.
Doctor Spock wrote a now discredited baby book.
