Just when we didn’t think it possible to despise WildEarth Guardians enough, the Craig Daily Press weighs in with an expose on the activist’s serial lawsuit addiction.

The New Mexico organization filed an average of one lawsuit a week in 2010, and from 2010 until, like, today, they launched more than 200 lawsuits. That’s 152 in federal court, and another 55 cases in the courts of appeal.

Americans for Prosperity says the WildEarthers have been “misusing the judicial system, exploiting poorly-written laws and taking advantage of taxpayers to pursue a narrow, litigation-driven, special interest agenda.”

We agree, but that’s just the front-end damage done by these litigious buffoons. The results of their lawsuits, if successful, mean higher energy prices, higher food prices, higher housing costs … the list goes on and on.

On the bright side, the public is beginning to see through their non-profit façade, and the WildEarthers are losing public and possibly even financial support.

We’re looking at you, Congress.

As if the Colowyo lawsuit and hundreds others aren’t bad enough, it turns out our own government is funding this group to the tune of more than a half-million dollars — and that’s just the one grant we know about.

Even though WildEarthers laughably argue that the taxpayer dollars are kept separate from the sue-happy money, it’s obvious that the grant dollars are propping up the organization in other venues, so they can continue to spend money on lawsuits.

Congress needs to shut off the grant money to WildEarth Guardians, as well as to every other environmental organization involved in frivolous lawsuits that earn them millions, while damaging our economy and killing jobs.
