Denver WikipediaWelcome to Denver, Fractivists.  You must be exhausted and in pain from walking barefoot here.  We think it’s strange that you would come to Colorado for your convention, seeing that we already have some of the most restrictive oil and natural gas regulations in the country.

However, as you descend upon your Stapleton hotel (another weird choice) for your three-day conference, we would like to point out that you are opposing all fossil fuels while using them this weekend. Some would say you’re not really walking the (barefoot) walk. We just call it hypocrisy.

That train, plane or automobile you arrived by? Yeah, fossil fuels made that happen. Oh, you rode your bike? Hope it didn’t have tires and you didn’t wear a helmet.  Those aspirin you popped after hitting high altitude? Sorry.

And here is a list of just a few other things you are likely using this weekend:

  • Ballpoint pens
  • Credit cards
  • Detergent
  • Cell phones
  • Deodorant
  • Hand lotion
  • Nail polish and lipstick
  • Plastic
  • Shaving cream shampoo
  • The hotel pool
  • Toilet seats
  • Toothbrushes
  • Vitamin capsules
  • Shoes

But, you’re right. We should definitely ban all of those things.
