Carrie Houck, a Democrat who has tried to run for State House in 2012 and 2014 and for Denver City Council last year, has been charged with 13 counts of forgery and perjury in connection with just bizarre signatures she submitted to attempt to get on the ballot. Here are a few examples from 9News:
- One box contained “Bert and Ernie”, with an address for Sesame Street in Los Angeles. The signature was filled out saying “HAHAHA! FU!
- Another box had Big Bird’s name. Again, the address provided was Sesame Street and the signature states “Go F YURSELF!”
- Three voters listed on her petition were dead and had been for some time.
- One signature was from an election judge’s mother, who is known to have Alzheimer’s disease and whose caretaker disputed the signature.
She only needed 100 signatures to get on the ballot. That’s pathetic that she had to resort to fraud to gather 100 signatures – and she didn’t even get on the ballot. This may be an extreme case of just making signatures up, but never again can Democrats claim that there is no such thing as voter fraud.
