Are Democrats afraid of Sanders appeal in the state? Their donors should be.

Are Democrats afraid of Sanders appeal in the state? Their donors should be.

Take Colorado’s very own Pat Stryker who made headlines this week for donating $1.25 million to the Democratic Party within the last year and having given $750,000 to support Hillary Clinton. Where’s the outrage ProgressNow? And what say you Rick Palacio?

Oh, you don’t care? That’s cool, we get it. It’s only okay when your donors drop big bucks to influence elections.

The reclusive heiress is also known as a founding member of the “Gang of Four,” a group of mega rich donors who aim to turn Colorado into a state as blue as California. Again, we’ve heard no complaints from the establishment left.

That being said, this could be the year that all changes. Here’s why… we anticipate a strong showing for Bernie Sanders at the Colorado caucuses in March, which could spell disaster for donors like Stryker and the candidates she supports. As Colorado voters rally around Bernie’s message of getting big money out of politics, it could actually hurt down ticket candidates who bank on that outside cash.
