Michael BennetColorado is one of six targeted states in the Supreme Court fight in which President Obama is trying to rush the process so he can load the court with a liberal majority rather than wait until after the upcoming election.

The Judicial Crisis Network is launching their second ad here against the nominee, and U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet, who has Republicans lining out the door to run against him.

The $2 million radio and TV ad tells Bennet to let us decide who should choose the new justice, and advises Coloradans won’t like the record of Obama’s nominee, Judge Merrick Garland.

The ad also forces these Democratic senators to respond to a myriad of issues in Garland’s history that may concern Coloradans, such as his support for increased government power of unelected bureaucrats at federal agencies such as the EPA that harm the Colorado energy industry, as well as his strong anti-Second Amendment rulings – all of which undermine the Constitutional rights of the American people.

Here’s the transcript:

“President Obama wants another liberal Supreme Court Justice. The NRA says he would take away law-abiding Americans’ ability to own firearms for protection. Small business leaders say he would side with special interests, unleash unaccountable agencies like the EPA, and hurt jobs. The New York Times says it would create the most liberal court in fifty years. Tell Senator Bennet and President Obama, ‘No. No more political games with the Supreme Court. Let the people decide.’”

According to Vice President Joe Biden, when the situation was reversed and it was a Bush nominee coming up before an election, the precedent is to wait.

We understand Bennet would want to rush through the process so he can have a vote, since it’s very unlikely he will still be in the Senate next year to have a say in the confirmation.

Believe it or not, Mr. Bennet, this isn’t about you, it’s about your constituents. Let us have our voice in the electoral process.
