The Colorado Secretary of State’s Office just announced that Robert Blaha and Ryan Frazier were declared insufficient to appear on the GOP primary ballot. No word yet on whether either campaign will challenge the decision as Jon Keyser is doing.
The likelihood of a successful legal challenge in these instances will be impacted by the number of duplicate signatures and signers who were not registered Republicans. Secretary of State Wayne Williams is suppose to certify the ballot by tomorrow. Though in the event of additional legal challenges, that might not end up happening. Both candidates have five days to challenge the ruling, but they would have to file an injunction to stop the SoS from certifying the ballot first.
Lots of moving parts here, so we’ll keep updating this post as we hear more.
