The AP reports that an unnamed state House committee controlled by unnamed Democrats killed a bill this week opposing the transfer of Guantanamo Bay detainees to Colorado.

It was only a symbolic measure authored by a Republican from the affected Fremont County with no enforcement behind it, so it’s okay that Democrats decided it wasn’t worth their time or our security, we’re told.

Democratic Gov. John Hickenlooper and Democratic U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet have both said they oppose Guantanamo detainees in Colorado.

But Democrats in the Legislature called the resolution unnecessary.

Bennet may say he opposes shuttering Gitmo or moving the detainees stateside, but does he really?
