democrat-republicanWant to vote in the June primary?  Get off your couch.  Today is the last day for those already affiliated with a political party to join a different party. Only the Democratic Party and Republican Party are holding primaries this year. So, if you’re a member of the Green Party and want to vote for your Bernie Sanders-backed primary candidate, you have to switch parties today.

Unaffiliated voters may change their affiliation through the June 28 Primary Election Day to vote in the Republican or Democratic primary. Also, those who are not registered to vote can register to vote through Primary Election Day to cast ballots.

Colorado makes it fairly easy to change registration. Go to: GoVoteColorado.com.  Here you can verify your voter registration as well as change it.

According to County Clerks, ballots will be mailed next Monday, June 6; although, some county clerks say they will have ballots in the mail earlier. Get your pens ready, PeakNation™.
